So. Everyone has been raving about the new Liberty of London line that just debuted at Target this past week. However. I had heard nothing about Jean Paul Gaultier being in stores as well. Until. My fellow co-worker and blogger TT told me about it. Which was weird. Because TT knows nothing about the mainstream world (i.e. tv, movies, fashion), only weird art stuff.
Anyway. I was sort of over all the frenzy that surrounds these limited edition lines; I don't think I've bought anything since Erin Featherstone. But I had to pop in this weekend for some cleanser and lotion and how delighted was I by what I saw? I bought two LoL tops and the Gaultier skirt on the left, all in bold prints. God knows I love a bold print.
Which leads me to my point. Part of the reason I'm so over this trend is that when I go to the West Hollywood Target, which is where everyone goes, the shit's always gone within the first couple of hours of being put on the floor.
So how did I score these choice picks? Easy. I went to the Target at Vineland and Victory in the Valley, where nobody knows or cares who Liberty of London or Jean Paul Gaultier is. It's wonderful. You get exactly what you want without having to battle a bunch of fashionistas who would cut you in a heartbeat over some Betsey Johnnson Gossip Girl-inspired blah, blah, blah.
Just an insider's tip from me to you.
