Oh, Minnesota, will your love affair with Spam ever end? I did not get a chance to try the Spamburgers or Spamcurds. Imagine my grief.
Outside of the Horticulture Center, they were growing Salsa in a Pot. I loved this.
Good ol' Smores. You just can't go wrong.
This eye-catching concoction is called a Potato Chip Tornado. We waited quite awhile for this--potato chips wrapped around a stick, then dunked in chocolate. And we weren't very impressed. The chips were sort of heavy and flavorless, and sadly, the chocolate didn't help matters.
My brother got what was probably my second favorite thing at the Fair: a pina colada in a pineapple from Manny's Tortas. The ideal antidote for 95% humidity.
And the winner is...our favorite thing this year, by far, was the Peach Parfait from The Salty Tart. Frozen Greek yogurt with coconut milk, peaches and ginger snaps. We had it at the end of the day, and it was perfect.
A bold proclamation.
This sounded heavenly, but I was just too full at the time. Maybe next year.
I spotted a giant cow.
What better way to end our experience than with a Deep Fried Twinkie. Which actually tasted a lot like a donut (but not as good as the mini donuts they make right before your eyes!). Until next year my friends--I'm sure I'll be back.
