Boo.
Lots of new decorations popping up in the neighborhood--of the happy variety.
After my usual trip to the Farmer's Market, I was thinking about how long it had been since I've been down Third Street. I decided to take a stroll. I realized I've never been to Joan's on Third. Or Son of Gun. And it's been ages since I'd been to The Little Door or The Little Next Door.
I think I need to start a new feature on the blog called "I Can't Believe I've Never Been to..." I hereby inaugurate it with my jaunt to Joan's on Third.
I found this to be a super swell place, kind of a mini Dean & DeLuca, where you can buy all kinds of fancy food stuffs, like giant baguettes, gourmet cheese decorated as pumpkins and $9 bottles of salad dressing made from Joan's secret recipes. Yum.
But the brunch menu didn't wow me, so I pounded the pavement back to Little Next Door.
I had only been here once, but I loved it. Mostly because I love anything that makes me feel so terribly French.
I had the Leek and Gruyere Tart for breakfast. It was delicious.
I spent the rest of the day reading, writing and gave the dog a bath. Then we went out at night and saw this sunset and even more happy, happy Halloween decorations going up. And took a photo of this sunset.
Stay tuned for more of "I Can't Believe I've Never Been to..."
