happy.

And I really mean it. Pretty much everyone I know was happy to see 2009 go, and I was no exception. It wasn't a particularly terrible year for me, it just went by so fast, I couldn't keep up. By the time the holidays rolled around, I wasn't ready them. Usually I really get into this time of the year. I put up my little Charlie Brown Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving, then load it up with decorations all bought at the 99 Cent Store, sparkly snowflakes and twinkling lights, so it looks pretty fabulous. I keep it up through the entire 12 Days of Christmas, and on January 6th, I don't want to see it go.

This year, it went up two weeks late and came down the day after New Year's, and I couldn't have been happier to bid it all adieu and get back to the daily grind. Have I become of curmudgeon about it all? One of those for whom the holidays = soul-crushing depression? I don't think so. It was just an off year. A blur.

But I enjoyed New Year's Day, mostly because the weather was so beautiful and I spent the entire day in pajamas. And I am looking forward to this new decade. And blogging more. Ha ha.
