cumberland.

One thing I love about New England is that the suburbs don't feel so suburban. They are more like little "hamlets." I guess I might feel differently if I lived in one 24/7, but I don't, so I can romanticize it.

We stopped here for a chocolate-dipped cone after dinner one night. It was ridiculously big, but unbelievably good. Sitting at a picnic table with a DQ-style cone melting all over my hand makes me feel like a kid again. Again--romanticizing--I wasn't particularly crazy about being a child.

Of all things you can name your avenue.

I thought this was an interesting combo.

This is a Christmas tree. In a bar. In August. A place called Tug's that we ate at one night. They serve free seafood chowder and bread, and their "signature" dish is a plate of homemade potato chips swimming in oil and butter, served with a dill dip. And I will leave you with that.
