Instead, let's relax and enjoy what we are loving today--the gorgeous embroidered storytelling of artist Michelle Kingdom. Like pages from a postmodern novel--so intricate in detail, texture and color--her needlepoints create surreal mysteries and dreamlike scenes. As the artist states on her site:
"My work explores psychological landscapes, illuminating thoughts left unspoken.
I create tiny worlds in thread to capture elusive yet persistent inner voices.
Literary snippets, memories, personal mythologies, and art historical references
inform the imagery; fused together, these influences explore relationships,
domesticity and self-perception."

And the sculptures of Michael Walsh--roses created from license plates, vintage auto parts and other metals. FP Contemporary Gallery hosts his latest show, "Bloom," this Saturday, September 12th.

That's all for now. I'll be back tomorrow with lots more to love. xoL
