In celebration of having lived in L.A. for 10 years (going on 11 now!), I've been thinking about the things I have yet to do. They range from the mundane to the offbeat, and the only one I really debated and ended up crossing off the list was "lunch at the Ivy," because why pay $20 for a hamburger and eat it within spitting distance of Christina Aguilera and the Kardashians when I could just go to Umami Burger? So here is my list of things to do in L.A. which I plan to check off (and add to) throughout the year. I will keep you updated.
1. Take the ferry to Catalina Island.
2. Go on one of the Los Angeles Conservancy Walking Tours.
3. See a Bob Baker marionette show.
4. Take a tour of the stars' homes. I would prefer one that is haunted.
5. Take an Esotouric bus tour of L.A.
6. Visit Watts Tower.
7. See the L.A. Opera. I would love to see one of the entire Ring cycles, but I do have commitment issues.
8. Visit the Pasadena Rose Bowl Flea Market.
9. Take a spin through the Musuem of Death. Hopefully without barfing or fainting.
10. Attend a Charles Phoenix slide show.
